Teen Choice Awards 2006
Gillian Barbarie either loves Fox for making her host the pre-show or hates Fox for making her host the pre-show. I’m going to go with the former, because an attention whore is generally pretty non-discriminating when it comes to public affairs. Skating With the Stars, anyone? Yeah. And, why was David Spade at this show? He’s not the star of a Fox show and he’s like 20 years, no 30 years over the target demographic (then again, so am I, so…yeah). Funniest part of the night? That Reese Witherspoon was seated next to Ludacris. Seriously. I wonder what those conversations were like.
Anyway, here are the highlights and lowlights.
Lowlight – Jessica Simpson’s choice of outfit. A tulip dress. This is a bad fashion statement. For anybody. Just like gauchos.
Actually, most of her seven outfits weren’t too flattering. She needs a better stylist.
Lowlight – Marlon Wayans pimping MySpace. Really, why? I guess MySpace sponsored this show. If you were looking for the end of the trend, there it is.
Highlight – Nelly Furtado and Timbaland.
Lowlight – Dane Cook not being able to swear. He’s not funny when he’s censored.
Lowlight – The seemingly endless hype surrounding one Kevin Federline. Ugh.
This was a wasted two hours of programming time. I’m glad I took a phone call a half hour into the show. So, I guess I only wasted 30 minutes. That’s not so bad.

I certainly agree in all areas but Jessica Simpson’s outfits were a total thumbs down
