The Gang Gets Awesome

September 14, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Last night was the night I’ve been waiting for since last summer – the return of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

I hope this show gains a bigger audience (although not so big as to warrant watering down the writing to appeal to the lowest common denominator), because I want to see a fourth season.

Last night, Mac and Dee found a dumpster baby (whom they named D.B., natch); Charlie realized that Frank really is his dad and and they spent the episode looking for treasure in the neighborhood dumpsters. Yipes. He, of course, went a little crazy on Coffee Shop Girl, too.

In the second episode (because F/X awesomely knows that 30 minutes just isn’t enough), Dennis, Mac and Dee tried out for the Eagles (like the New Kid On the Block (sic) from that movie), while Charlie and Frank tripped on acid while tailgating the tryouts. Trust me, it was hilarious.

The Gang is back, and quite possibly even more hilarious than in the past two seasons. They’re definitely more wrong. And selfish. It is always sunny in Philadelphia, isn’t it?

Thursdays at 10pm and 10:30pm ET on F/X. Be there.
